The brownout hits at 7pm.
Your lights stay on.

Solar and battery that switches over on its own, sized from your own bill. The essentials run all night on the battery, and your bill drops to roughly a fifth of what it is today.* We have been making batteries since 1928.

Start with your monthly bill. No phone number needed.

Start with your own bill

You already pay for power every month. Put that money into your own roof instead.

Daytime sun runs your house and charges the battery. When the grid drops, the battery takes over. Move the slider to your own bill and see what is left to pay each month.

What you get

A lower bill, and a house that stays lit.

80% of your monthly bill, gone*

A ₱9,000 bill drops to about ₱1,800. Sized to your usage and your local rate, and we already write off 20% for cloudy days, so we would rather you beat this number than miss it.

1-2 days on your roof*

We check the roof, the wiring and where the battery goes first, so install day holds no surprises.

15 yrs panel warranty*

Panels are warranted for 15 years. Battery and inverter terms are printed in your quotation, so you can hold us to them.

Built for Mindanao

Your home does not have to stop when the grid does.

The switch is automatic. Lights, Wi-Fi and the refrigerator keep running while the street waits for the grid. Nothing to plug in, nothing to pull-start.

  • Fridge, lights, Wi-Fi, TV and fans run through the night on a 10kWh battery, with charge left over for the morning.
  • Add one 1HP aircon and you still get about six hours of running time.*
  • Need longer? A second battery stacks onto the same inverter. Nothing gets replaced.
  • When the grid comes back, the battery recharges on its own and goes back to cutting your bill.

If you already keep a generator

You know the routine. Fuel, servicing, noise.

A generator and this system do the same job for your essentials. Only one of them asks you for diesel at 2am, and only one of them is quiet enough to sleep through.

A generator

  • Fuel on every single run, and diesel prices only move one way
  • Runs at full output even when you only need a light and a fan
  • Oil, filters and servicing, or it stops starting
  • Loud enough that the whole street knows
  • Floor space, plus somewhere to store the fuel
  • Somebody still has to go out and start it

Solar + battery

  • The sun charges it, and the grid tops it up when it needs to
  • Draws only what your appliances actually ask for
  • No oil, no filter, no engine to service
  • Quiet apart from a cooling fan
  • Wall-mounted, smaller than the generator it replaces
  • Switches over by itself, including at 2am

What the two cost you to run depends on your own fuel and electricity prices. That is exactly what the free survey works out with you, using your own bill.

Proof, not promises

Tiger Head has been making batteries since 1928. HSG ENERGY brings its solar and storage systems to Mindanao.

The cells in your battery come from a joint venture with Great Power, one of the world's two biggest home-storage cell makers, and the same cells run in homes across more than 60 countries. You are not the first. You are the first here.

Straight answers to common questions

What exactly does the price include?

Panels, the off-grid inverter, the lithium battery, mounting hardware, cabling and the installation work. Your written quotation lists every item and the total. If your roof needs extra work, you hear about it before you pay anything.

₱222,600 is a lot of money. Why is this worth it?

Look at what you already pay. A ₱9,000 monthly bill is ₱108,000 a year, and at the end of it you own nothing. Over 25 years, with rates rising the way they do, that is roughly ₱4.5 million handed to the utility. Put the same money onto your own roof instead: after about two and a half years you have spent what you would have spent anyway, and from then on the electricity is yours, with the panels warranted for 15 years. If the full size is out of reach today, the ladder starts at ₱142,350 installed.

How long before the system pays for itself?

Across our 25 published packages the figure runs from 2.24 to 3.59 years at the ₱15/kWh assumption in the table, so about two and a half years is a fair expectation. 24 of the 25 come in under three years, and the smallest system is the slowest one to pay back. Your own rate and usage decide where you land, which is why the survey works from your actual electricity bill.

Should I just buy a generator instead?

A generator is cheaper to buy and much more expensive to live with. You buy fuel for every run, at whatever diesel costs that week, and it burns the same whether you are running an aircon or one light. Then there is the servicing, the noise, and the space. A battery charges off the sun, gives you exactly the power you ask for, and starts itself. If you already own a generator, this system takes over the load it used to carry, and the generator goes back to being the last resort. See what a system costs.

Can I pay in instalments?

Ask us and we will tell you exactly which payment routes are available in your city today, and which are still being arranged. See the financing page for the current list.

What about typhoons?

Panels and mounting are engineered for severe weather, and your free roof survey confirms the anchoring your own roof needs. Remember that a typhoon is also when the grid fails most, which is exactly when a battery earns its keep. After any major storm, message us and we will tell you what to check.

Do panels work in the rainy season?

Yes. Panels keep generating under cloud and rain, just at lower output. Sunnier hours charge your battery, which carries you through the gloomy stretches.

How much maintenance does it need?

Very little: occasional panel cleaning and a periodic system check. Panels and batteries have no moving parts to wear out. No fuel to buy, no oil to change, no engine to service.

What if I move house?

The system normally stays with the roof and adds value for the next owner. Moving it is possible too. Ask us and we will quote the de-install and re-install honestly.

Be ready before the next brownout.

Every month you wait is another month of full-price electricity. Your quote holds for 30 days, the price you see is the price you pay, and there are no hidden fees.

Notes & assumptions

* Payback (“about two and a half years”, “24 of 25 packages under 3 years” and the per-package figures): read straight out of our published 25-tier price list, which shows estimated payback of 2.24 to 3.59 years at the ₱15/kWh baseline rate used in that table. Your own rate, roof and usage decide where you land, so the survey works from your actual bill.

* Bill reduction (“up to 80%”, “a fifth of what it is today”, “₱9,000 → about ₱1,800”): estimated for a correctly sized solar + battery system with typical daytime and night-time usage at prevailing Mindanao residential utility rates. The estimate already applies a 0.8 output allowance, meaning 20% of expected generation is written off for cloudy days and usage patterns before you are quoted. Actual savings vary with your usage pattern, roof orientation, weather and your utility's tariff. Use the savings calculator for an estimate based on your own bill.

* Estimator figures: the slider uses a ₱9,000 monthly bill as the example. “Left to pay” is the remaining 20% of that bill, and “stays with you” is the 80% offset. The 25-year figure projects today's yearly saving over 25 years with an assumed ~4% average annual increase in utility rates, the same assumptions as our savings calculator. The “change nothing” figure applies the same bill and the same escalation to the whole bill instead of the 80% offset, i.e. what you pay if you change nothing. Projections are estimates, not a guarantee.

* Battery running time (“all night”, “about six hours” with one 1HP aircon): calculated from typical appliance consumption (fridge 150W, TV 120W, ten LED lights 100W, one fan 65W, one 1HP aircon 800W) against the stated battery capacity, then reduced by 20% for inverter losses and real-world discharge depth. Actual running time depends on your appliances, their age, how often the compressor cycles and how much charge the battery has when the outage starts.

* Package prices (₱142,350 / ₱222,600 / ₱288,540): installed prices for the three systems listed, taken from our published 25-tier price list. Final price is confirmed after a free roof survey and depends on roof type, wiring and battery placement. A written quotation holds for 30 days.

* Installation time (“1-2 days”): typical for a residential system; actual duration varies with system size, roof type and weather.

* Warranty (15-yr panels / 8-yr battery / 5-yr inverter): subject to final confirmation and the written warranty terms provided with your quotation.
